Ultimately, we are defined by the qualities that shape our values, guide our decisions, and influence the impact we leave on others, which is why I would love to serve as your Freshman Representative. As your Representative, I will be an approachable, reasonable, and open-minded leader who ensures every student feels heard, supported, and valued at Georgia Tech. I believe leadership is about more than words, but about practicing what you preach. It’s about building trust through action, leading by examples, and creating an environment where people feel connected and empowered. I stand for collaboration, authenticity, and action, and take pride in a foundation of integrity and respect. I want to use these values to highlight the incredible diversity of talent and culture that makes our class and school so unique. I am applying for the Student Government Association because, in addition to being one of the best schools for academics, Georgia Tech is also one of the best places for students to explore new opportunities, pursue their passions and goals, and find their home away from home. As a member of SGA, I would help ensure that there are diverse opportunities for every student. I believe students should strive to be well-rounded, and they can achieve this by exploring new opportunities. With my attentiveness and determination, I am committed to listening to both the concerns and aspirations of students to make these opportunities possible. Through my experience on Student Council and other leadership positions in high school, I have learned the importance of collaboration and compromise, and I am ready to bring that experience to SGA to help make students’ ideas a reality.

Hi, my name is Naomi Hackett, and I am running for Freshman Representative! I am dedicated to making Georgia Tech a place where student voices drive meaningful change. I believe that student feedback is invaluable in the improvement of the university. I also have 4 years of leadership experience, from grade representative (9th, 10th, 11th) to Student Body President as a senior in high school. During my time, I planned multiple large-scale events, such as formals. I also advocated for a scheduling policy change that would prevent students from having both math and science tests on the same day to reduce stress and thus, provide them with a more equitable chance to perform their best. Most notably, during my time as Student Body President, I helped create a student-run coffee shop at our school. Not only did this offer new food options for the community, but it also provided students with the ability to work during their free blocks and gain experience in the field. As a freshman representative, I would continuously look out for the needs of students and act accordingly. For change and harmony, vote Naomi!

Hello Class of 2025, my name is Arina Ellard and I am running to be one of your Freshman Representatives! Through my experience on an advisory council at my high school, I led and created numerous events, became the voice of those shy to speak, and was the cause of much change for my fellow students. Due to this, I know I will be a great representative for the Georgia Tech Freshmen.I strive to be a person people can come to with their concerns and ideas for the campus. I stand for open communication and the betterment of both the all and the few along with the old and the new. Despite being from a small, coastal town in Alabama, I share many of the experiences Georgia Tech students have lived. I am from a multi-cultural family and have experienced living in a big city, I have experienced life in Moldova through the eyes of a local for two months, and have travelled from the East to the West coast of the United States. Hey Yellow Jackets! My name is Tania Titu, and I’ll be running for your Freshman Class Representative. My goal as your Representative is to advocate for student support, make campus transportation more reliable, enhance communication between campus leaders and the student body, and cultivate an environment that supports both academic success and social freedom. My mission is to help you get the most out of your time at Tech. Through my experience on my school’s STEM student advisory council, I streamlined communication between faculty and students, organized a variety of social events, and enhanced student support services, which have helped me gain the skills to effectively advocate for the Georgia Tech student body. Having lived in Germany, India, Minnesota, and Georgia, I share the experiences of many Tech students, whether they come from another state or country, or live 20 minutes away. As freshman representative I would love to reflect upon the diverse voices that make Georgia Tech so special. I recognize the importance of diversity of thought in making the informed decisions of an organization. I intend to advocate for decisions that favor a good student life balance. In an already rigorous circumstance being at Georgia Tech, I aim to promote funding for clubs that backs student life, whether it be ensembles, esports, or even intramurals, I am always looking to bring diverse viewpoints to the table and treat them with the respect they deserve.

I’m here to listen, show up, and act. I’ve been playing Clash Royale for 9 years, and through it I’ve learned how to think strategically, stay resilient, and lead with confidence under pressure. I’ll push for more funding and visibility for student orgs because they deserve to be seen and supported. I want creative spaces to be easier to access, not just for a few, but for everyone who wants to build something. I believe in open forums where students can speak freely and leadership workshops that actually help us grow. We should all have a real chance to shape campus life, not just watch it happen. Hi!! My name is Subasakti (Suba) Chandrasekaran, and I’m running to be your Freshman Representative. I am a dedicated advocate, visionary leader, and driven changemaker committed to representing our freshman class. I stand for putting Freshman voices first and advocating for all of you at our representative meetings. As someone who has served as Class President in high school for the past 4 years, I have learned how to actively listen, collaborate with everyone, and take action. I pledge to make our freshman year stronger and more connected through a few goals I have this year. I am interested in launching a “Freshman Resource Map” that will highlight some key study spots, wellness spaces, and other helpful programs, so no student feels lost or left behind. I’m also interested in initiating a monthly “Pulse Check” survey for freshmen, so SGA can receive real-time feedback from freshmen and respond in a timely manner. Jared Matisoff

Hi my name is Jared Matisoff and I am from Freehold, New Jersey. I’m a first year student studying mechanical engineering with an end goal of getting into robotics. Outside of my academics, I like to play basketball, go to the gym, and hangout with my friends. I am really looking forward to running for Freshman Representative and I hope I can convince you all to vote for me!I am extremely passionate about getting involved whenever the opportunities are presented to me. In high school, I was an active member of my school’s debate club, academic team, played basketball, and was also a certified firefighter. While doing so, I worked a side job as a waiter and camp counselor as well. My proudest accomplishment was definitely being able to persevere through fire academy as it taught me several valuable skills such as discipline, teamwork, and commitment. Aside from teaching many lessons, the fire academy also allowed me to prove to myself that I can overcome challenges when I give my all. Being able to volunteer in a program that helps keep several people safe was also an incredibly rewarding experience. One thing I truly believe in is dedication; When I start something, I won’t stop it until it is done to my satisfaction. I strongly believe what sets me apart from other candidates is that I don’t believe in putting my time into something if I’m not putting full effort into it. Another trait about me that makes me a good candidate is my ability to get along with all kinds of people. Working as a camp counselor and waiter, I have had to work with a plethora of people, deal with angry customers and parents, and solve problems on my feet. This has given me the ability to get along with everyone, even if their ideas differ from mine. Therefore, I promise to make being a freshman representative my top priority, fully committing to making sure everyone’s ideas get heard
