More than $4000 in cash prizes are available for winning poster and oral presentations, with the grand prize of $1000 going to the best overall poster presentation. Prizes for college winners are proudly extended by the colleges themselves to support student research.
The grand prize is sponsored by GT Auxillary Services through Buzzfunds.


Ever wonder what research topics are being studied by graduate students throughout the various colleges at Georgia Tech?

The symposium is your chance to:

  • Meet graduate students and faculty from all campus and describe your work.
  • Learn about their research in a constructive and diverse atmosphere.
  • Gain valuable skills and experience without inciting huge costs.
  • Make an impact on undergraduates who may be wondering what research is all about.
  • Eat yummy food and win cash prizes!!!

Judges:

Faculty Members,

The 5th Annual Graduate Student Symposium requests your support as a faculty judge. Please volunteer one hour of your time on Thursday, February 26, 2009 to judge poster or oral presentations by graduate students in your college. These students compete with other presentations from your college for cash prizes, and the winning poster presentation from your college will compete with winning posters from other colleges for a $1000 prize.

Following the submission deadline the symposium organizers, will provide a judging schedule - based on the number of submissions from each college and judge availability.

If you would like to volunteer to serve as a judge in this event, please contact:

with your contact information and availability between the hours of 9am and 4pm for Thursday, February 26, 2009. If you have a time in mind that you might want to judge, time slots with availability can be viewed at our Schedule Page.
